Service Technician - ExaktUSA
Position Summary
This role supports both in-house service and field service (on-site installs, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs). The technician will diagnose mechanical and basic electrical/electronic issues, complete repairs efficiently and safely, and deliver a positive customer experience. This is a field-oriented service role that requires frequent travel to customer sites as needed for installations, maintenance, and repairs. Travel throughout the U.S., and occasionally Canada, frequency will vary based on service requests and business needs.
Essential Functions
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain precision equipment (mechanical + basic electrical/electronic troubleshooting)
• Perform on-site installations, service calls, and preventative maintenance
• Troubleshoot issues in person, by phone, and via email with customers
• Communicate clearly and professionally (written and verbal)
• Complete timely, detailed service documentation and reports
• Coordinate service logistics including parts, shipping, and return processes
• Support warehouse receiving/shipping and inventory tasks when in-house
• Maintain a positive, instructional, customer-focused approach during service interactions
• Follow safe work practices and maintain organized service tools/equipment
