The hourly pay rate of $15 per hour is equivalent to $31,200 per year.

General Schedule:

Position typically works 40 hours per week Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm at UCO's main campus in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Position Overview:

Performs entry-level clerical and administrative tasks related to the work order management system for the Physical Plant. Responsibilities include entering and processing work orders, answering phone calls, transmitting requests to shop staff, communicating with UCO staff and faculty about work requests, printing reports, filing, and handling other duties as assigned.

Job Duties:

  • Serves as the primary contact for work order requests, including answering phone calls, emails, and work order tickets.
  • Greets and assists visitors.
  • Operates common office equipment in the performance of clerical duties.
  • Assists in updating procedures for work order office processes.
  • Gathers closed work order documents to support invoices for Auxiliary and Housing functions and assists in preparing invoices.
  • Processes and edits maintenance requests within the work order management system (FAMIS).
  • Processes utility locate requests and maintains related records.
  • Processes work request estimates, refers requests for approval, distributes to customer, creates work order after customer approves the estimate.
  • Collects and processes shop supervisors’ maintenance requests.
  • Notifies contractors of the need for repairs on fire panels and clocks, elevators, repairs on sprinkler heads, and other contracted services.
  • Coordinates and complies with needs of special events.
  • Tracks and orders office supplies, coordinates employee luncheons, manages a Pcard and retains appropriate documentation for small purchases for Facilities.
  • Keeps Building Captain list up to date and assists with adding/editing FAMIS users.
  • Performs weekly inventory cycle counts and manages digital displays in lobby and breakroom.
  • Performs a variety of responsibilities under tight time constraints.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary to support the Physical Plant and UCO mission.

Qualifications Required:
General education or vocational training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and be able to operate a typical motor vehicle.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficient in operating office equipment such as telephones, printers, copiers, fax machines, computers, and laminators.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to read and understand manuals, instructions, and documents with clarity.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, fostering positive and effective interactions with others.
