Job Description: 

Overview
Quality Assurance (QA) technicians are a crucial part of our product fulfillment process. In this role, you will be involved in final checks of our HVAC equipment by performing routine functional testing to ensure quality adherence to applicable standards before being shipped.

Responsibilities

  • Performing quality checks on HVAC units with precision, accountability, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults in units found during functional testing.
  • Validation and error-proofing of wiring diagrams and control schematics
  • Load controller firmware and verify operation
  • Verify documentation and forms
  • Prepare and maintain test data and inspection reports for review
  • Support weekly production schedules to ensure on-time shipment
  • Receiving, inspecting, and testing new parts and returns.
  • Package, ship, and manage inventory of Flo replacement parts.
  • Maintain calibration of required gauges, tools, and equipment.
  • Actively contributes to the improvement of support systems and procedures, identifying opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains.
  • Identify and communicate quality or compliance concerns with applicable personnel.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex technical challenges and drive the resolution of customer issues.
  • Supports the development of reporting requirements & analytical analysis initiatives.
  • Support technical support & field services teams as needed by taking phone calls and/or traveling to job sites.
  • Understand quality assurance tasks and methods as determined by standard operating procedures.

Other Skills/Certifications Wanted: 
• Completion of post-secondary HVAC/R technical program is preferred. • Type II EPA license required •
Job Requirements: 
• 2 years of technical HVAC/R equipment and/or controls experience preferred but willing to train. Strong technical aptitude and ability to read and work from electrical and mechanical diagrams • Working knowledge of required tools, including refrigeration gauges, manometer, multimeter, power and hand tools, etc. • Competency with various mathematical concepts including fractions, ratios, and proportions. • Self-management and organizational skills and demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office 365 and Quality applications.
