Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, the Production Team Lead confers with production management personnel to plan, coordinate, and schedule production activities to assure production goals are achieved.  The Production Team Lead will play a key role in developing and influencing associates regarding AGS’ culture of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Essential Functions:

  • Review production schedule and updated production tracking visuals/documents.
  • Verify components have been picked for scheduled orders and follow-up on back-ordered items.
  • Expedite production components when necessary.
  • Monitor production lines to assure desired flow achieved and assure all issues causing bottlenecks are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Verify completed games meet requirements per sales order documentation.
  • Close sales orders in NAV upon completion.
  • Support Assembler III’s with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues on the production lines.
  • Work with Sales Coordinators and Receiving Coordinator to correct sales order and BOM issues.
  • Investigate “root cause” of process failures and collaborate with process stakeholders to improve process.
  • Conduct process audits and follow up to resolve variances.
  • Actively collaborate with stakeholders to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure that all established standards are observed while work is performed, including, the wearing of safety apparel, the completion of checklists and other standardized work.
  • Assure 5S strategies are continuously utilized.
  • Actively identify opportunities for eliminating waste.
  • Conduct one-on-one and group training related to various topics including technical, Lean and continuous improvement.
  • Provide routine and timely updates to management relating to: production line status, project status, quality, safety and other pertinent information effecting Operations.
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently
  • Possess strong organizational skills

Job Requirements: 
Education/Minimum Years of Experience: High School diploma or equivalent. Vocational Training (electrical/electronic, mechanical, assembly) preferred. Completed DC Circuits course ( or started within 90 days of employment as Production Team Lead) 2 - 3 years’ electronic assembly, including troubleshooting electronic components Job Knowledge/Work Experience: Previous manufacturing line, freight shipping and loading dock experience preferred. Knowledge of materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effectiveness of manufacturing processes. Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement practices. Ability to lead, coach, and train associates on a variety of manufacturing topics. Ability to lead Continuous Improvement projects. Previous warehouse and freight shipping experience. Flexibility to work overtime as required (mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays). Computer/Technical Skills: Working knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) with ability to learn other software programs as needed. Prior experience with ERP systems preferred. Physical/Mental Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crawl, climb, and squat. Ability to see, hear, speak. Ability to push, pull, grasp, turn and manipulate tooling and small components.
