Job Description:
Norman Vision Clinic is a patient-focused optometry practice dedicated to delivering exceptional eye care in a warm, supportive environment. We’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Optometric Technician (Paraoptometric) to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and guide them through the pre-testing process
- Perform diagnostic testing, including autorefraction, retinal imaging, visual field testing, and tonometry
- Accurately record patient histories and update electronic health records (EHR)
- Assist the optometrist during examinations as needed
- Educate patients on contact lens care and eyewear options
- Maintain clean and organized exam rooms and equipment
- Support front desk operations when needed (scheduling, phone calls, insurance verification)
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an optometric technician or in a medical office preferred (but willing to train)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfort with technology and EHR systems
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Professional, friendly, and team-oriented attitude
- High school diploma or equivalent required; CPO/CPOA/ABO/NCLE certification a plus
