The technician will diagnose mechanical and basic electrical/electronic issues, complete repairs efficiently and safely, and deliver a positive customer experience. This is a field-oriented service role that requires frequent travel to customer sites as needed for installations, maintenance, and repairs. Travel throughout the U.S., and occasionally Canada, frequency will vary based on service requests and business needs.

Essential Functions
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain precision equipment (mechanical + basic electrical/electronic troubleshooting)
• Perform on-site installations, service calls, and preventative maintenance
• Troubleshoot issues in person, by phone, and via email with customers
• Communicate clearly and professionally (written and verbal)
• Complete timely, detailed service documentation and reports
• Coordinate service logistics including parts, shipping, and return processes
• Support warehouse receiving/shipping and inventory tasks when in-house
• Maintain a positive, instructional, customer-focused approach during service interactions
• Follow safe work practices and maintain organized service tools/equipment

Travel Requirements
• Frequent travel which fluctuates based on customer demands and needs for onsite repairs
• Must be able to travel throughout the United States and occasionally into Canada
• Must be able to meet requirements for cross-border travel as applicable (valid passport required)

• Customer/Client Focus • Mechanical aptitude with basic electrical and electronics knowledge • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills • Detail-oriented with good documentation habits • Self-starter who works well independently and as part of a team • Organized and dependable with the ability to manage travel/service schedules Required Education & Experience • Required: High School Diploma or GED • Preferred: Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree, technical certification, or formal training in electronics, electrical systems, electro-mechanical repair, or similar • Required: Either (a) degree/certification as above or (b) documented 2+ years of handson technical repair experience (electro-mechanical, electronics diagnostics, field service, industrial equipment, etc.) • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, technical manuals, service instructions and safety documentation. • Ability to learn and use MS Office Applications (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams); familiarity with QuickBooks is a plus • Must speak and write English clearly
