Basic Job Description:

The highly skilled Automotive Technician will inspect, maintain, and repair vehicles to ensure their optimal performance and safety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Maintain the fleet of Ride Care vehicles, developing and ongoing and detailed maintenance log for every vehicle in the fleet.

· Assist with retrieval of fleet vehicles when deemed undriveable, working to restore the vehicle to operations quickly.

· Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and brake repairs.

· Inspect and identify safety and repair issues.

· Conduct diagnostic tests to identify vehicle issues and auto-body repairs when necessary.

· Diagnose leaks effectively.

· Replace engine components (including head gaskets, shocks, struts, front end components).

· Remove and install transmissions, transfer cases and engines.

· Rebuild differentials and transfer cases.

· Perform A/C compressor and component repairs and recharging.

· Perform brake lining replacement.

· Tune up, replace spark plugs, wires, clean throttle body and clean air flow sensors.

· Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workshop.

· Other duties as assigned by the manager or other leadership.

Requirements

· Proven ability to work alone, managing time effectively to produce results.

· Operate with flexibility and adaptability to any environment, making immediate decisions and resolving conflict.

· Operate in highly stressful situations from both internal and external sources.

· Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment.

· Expertise in conducting brake repairs, maintaining vehicles, and performing auto-body repairs.

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
