HVAC Test & Balance Technician

Job Description: 

The TAB Technician will Inspect, test, adjust and balance heating, cooling, ventilating systems, chillers, cooling towers, and related facility equipment by performing the duties listed below.

- Testing and balancing of air and hydronic systems.

- Study the design system blueprints, specifications, and performance data to determine configuration and purpose of system components such as motors, pumps, and fans.

- Perform baseline readings to determine adjustments to be made.

- Adjust all HVAC equipment, in order to maintain optimum performance.

- Performance testing of HVAC equipment: air handlers, chillers, pumps, boilers, cooling towers, etc.

- Troubleshoot faulty systems and provide recommendations for corrective actions. 

- Develop CAL (Corrective Action Log) of deficient systems/components to be submitted to the TAB Supervisor upon completing initial survey of project.

- Tabulate field data into summary report format.

- Observe all health and safety requirements.

Other Skills/Certifications Wanted: 
Must have mechanical aptitude - we will train utilizing OJT, study courses, and in-house training sessions.
Job Requirements: 
Candidates must have the minimum following requirements: • Good mechanical aptitude. • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and accredited apprenticeship. • Ability to read and write English. • Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check at any time. • Valid Driver's License and good driving record. • Most projects are in the state of Oklahoma/metropolitan area. We do take on projects out of state and travel is required. Travel typically only requires being out of town a week at a time.
