Glass and Mirror Installer / Technician (On The Job Training)
The Glass and Mirror Installer / Technician is responsible for installing high-quality frame-less and framed glass shower enclosures, mirrors, cabinet glass, wine rooms, glass offices doors and panels, etc. in residential and commercial properties. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work with various tools and materials to ensure a perfect fit and finish for each shower installation. The installer must ensure that the glass panels are safely and securely mounted, providing a clean, modern aesthetic while meeting safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Measure and Plan Installations:
Accurately measure shower spaces to determine the appropriate size and specifications for glass panels.
Collaborate with designers, contractors, or clients to understand project requirements and ensure proper fitting.
2. Prepare the Installation Area:
Ensure that the space is properly prepped and clean, removing fixtures if necessary.
Install any necessary framing or hardware, such as clips, hinges or anchors.
3. Install Frameless Glass Panels:
Safely install heavy glass panels, ensuring they are securely fitted without damage.
Use specialized tools and equipment for cutting, shaping, and installing glass panels.
4. Ensure Proper Sealing and Alignment:
Use silicone or other appropriate sealants to prevent water leaks.
Ensure all glass panels are perfectly aligned and functional (hinges, door handles, etc.).
5. Perform Quality Control:
Inspect the installation for any defects or issues in workmanship.
Ensure that the final product is free of defects, scratches, or damages.
6. Provide Customer Service:
Communicate effectively with clients regarding project progress and expectations.
Address any questions or concerns that clients may have before, during, and after installation.
