The Construction & Manufacturing Team supports all of Haskell’s delivery groups across the company and the projects throughout the United States. The Construction & Manufacturing Team is responsible for providing the field management personnel, from the craft worker to the Project Superintendent. The Construction & Manufacturing Team also provides the team member with logistical support; including but not limited to establishing per diem rates, company trucks for superintendents, and the coordination of arrival for team members as needed on the project. The Construction & Manufacturing Team provides continual training for our team members to support their development from entry-level craft workers, via in-house/online courses, to local jurisdiction apprenticeship programs. Haskell assists with working your way up through the ranks, you’ll find new ways to use both your mind and your hands to get the job done.
In this role, you will be responsible for reading shop fabrication drawings, tack welding, and working with various fabrication methods, tools, and techniques. You will assemble, align, and secure components for welding while ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.
Your responsibilities will include:
Lay out, position, align, and fit components for welding.
Tack weld parts to secure them in position.
Assemble parts using bolts as necessary.
Repair products by dismantling, reshaping, and reassembling parts using cutting torches, straightening presses, and hand tools.
Perform moderate physical work, lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, and 20 lbs constantly.
Climb and balance on ladders, scaffolding, or stairs and perform physical activities such as bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
Minimum of four years of experience in steel fabrication.
Ability to work within industry-standard dimensional tolerances.
Visualize flat drawings and blueprints as 3D objects.
Familiarity with tools essential for fabrication work.
Skilled in reading and interpreting shop drawings.
Understanding of weld procedures and weld symbols.
Strong manual dexterity and ability to handle physical workloads.
Independent execution of detailed written or verbal instructions.

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:
Ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations.
Ability to lift, carry, and move weights of 10-50 lbs.
Good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity, and visual acuity.
Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and reaching required.
