Employer Expectations

Understanding employers' expectations enable job seekers to create a marketing plan that addresses the needs of today's workplace.  This session offers a deeper understanding of employer expectations by examining student expectations of their teachers.  Students will also get to learn what soft skills are and their essential role in obtaining and succeeding in employment.

At the completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Identify the difference between hard and soft skills
  • List 6 of the most important soft skills
  • Explain what employers expect with each soft skill
