Starting salary for Analyst I: $26.67–$27.90 (depending on experience/qualifications)

ABOUT THIS POSITION
The Application Support Analyst I focuses on daily support, troubleshooting, and assisting with system implementation under supervision, whereas the Application Support Analyst II is a senior-level role requiring broader technical expertise, leadership in project management, responsibility for complex system environments, and greater autonomy, including 24/7 on-call duties.
These roles are primarily ON-SITE, so applicants must be able to work in an office in the Edmond area. These positions operate on the alternate schedule: 7:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Thursday, and from 7:30 am to 11:30 am on Friday.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- General knowledge equivalent to two (2) years of college
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 4 years of related experience and/or training
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid Oklahoma Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrier
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ANALYST II
- 2 years of management experience
- People and/or project management
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review, research, and analyze problems with application procedures and data integrity
- Diagnose root cause of issues through a structured process of investigation
- Act as a liaison in the analysis, design, configuration, testing, and maintenance of application systems
- Use SQL commands to validate application data, audit system processes, and export information
- Create or enhance reports using system tools or scripting languages
- Consult with others to identify, define, and document business needs and objectives
- Assist with implementation of new systems or major enhancements
- Analyze the feasibility of new systems or enhancements to old systems
- Import, clean, transform, and validate information from databases
- Prepare documentation, definitions, and specifications for application systems
- Log changes in system configuration settings
NECESSARY SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge of relationship database concepts
- Ability to prepare system documentation and analyze test data
- Availability and willingness to occasionally work hours beyond normal work day
- Ability to meet the required physical standards for this position
- Ability to pass extensive background process and pre-employment drug and audio screenings
