Job Description: 

Duties for this position include, but are not limited to the following;

--Assist the supervisor of the Executive Legislative Division with various administrative tasks

  • Process and file public records according to law
  • Scan and update archived records currently not imaged in the Exec-Leg database
  • Assist division supervisor during the physical signature counting process, required by state initiatives and referendums
  • Retrieve/return records stored at State Archives and State Records Center
  • On occasion, hand-deliver documentation to other state agencies within the Capitol Complex

--Front Office support

  • Initial contact with visitors, must greet and direct SOS visitors accordingly (visitors include the general public, State Senators, State Representatives, Cabinet Secretaries, Directors of State Agencies, Foreign Dignitaries, and representatives from other government agencies)
  • Answer front office/executive legislative division phone in a very polite and professional manner
Other Skills/Certifications Wanted: 
Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook); Front office support/Reception experience; Close attention to detail
Job Requirements: 
Must be very dependable and possess a strong work ethic--Report as scheduled 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday--Maintain a professional pleasant attitude at all times
